Set of 4 Mangaves

 The collection consists of 4 plants:

- x 1 Mangave Mangave Redwing : compact, its rosette reaches 25 cm in height by 40 cm in width. It forms a beautiful rosette of wide leaves strongly colored in deep red-purple on a discreet green background.

- x 1 Mangave Mangave Pineapple Express : a low and wide variety, in a rosette of 20 to 30 cm in height by 50-60 cm in width. Its foliage is beautifully speckled with purple on a blue-green background.

- x 1 Mangave Mangave Lavender Lady : very compact, measuring 20 cm in height by 30 cm in width, this variety has foliage that evolves from fine almond green dusted with pink to dark gray.

- x 1 Mangave Mangave Mission To Mars: forming a low and very wide rosette of leaves (25 cm in height by 70 cm in width), this selection offers an intensely speckled color of purple-red on a green background.

The Mangave Mangave belongs to the Agavaceae family, now included by botanists in the much larger Asparagaceae family. This plant develops quite rapidly into a rosette composed of many succulent leaves. Depending on the varieties, the leaves are more or less narrow, rigid, or slightly curved, pointed and toothed at the edges. Flowering will appear in favorable climates on mature plants, from August to October. From the center of the rosette emerges a branched floral stem carrying small star-shaped white flowers. Mangave Mangave are plants for dry, well-drained soil, capable of withstanding short frosts of around -5 to -7°C depending on the varieties. They will be installed in full sun or at a stretch in partial shade in a warm climate. The vegetation persists in winter.

To create exotic and colourful scenes in a mild climate, the Mangave will be planted in a rockery, alongside other small agaves like Agave montana, other differently coloured Mangaves, purple creeping bugles, Black Beauty Heucheras, or grasses like Carex comans Milk Chocolate or Stipa tenuifolia. Collectors of cacti and other succulent plants can showcase them on the terrace or balcony surrounded by pots filled with joubarbes.
